Friday Prayer 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Oh sovereign Lord,

You have made the heavens

and the earth

by your great power and outstretched arm.

And nothing is to hard for you.

We come to you empty handed

and in different desperate situations;

Some are facing poverty and starvation,

homelessness and unemployment is rising.

Many have been diagnosed with terminal illness,

The sinful world has invaded our churches

and it’s a pity that the world is now converting the church

rather than the church convert the world.

Many can not say The Lord’s Prayer or sing a church hymn by heart

But can recite a political slogan

or sing hip hop music from first note to the last note.

Zimbabwe is desperate for change,

free and fair elections

but seems we are far away from honesty and truth.

Lord,

We believe you make the impossible become possible

when we give our lives to you

through Christ Jesus our saviour,

We confess and turn away from our sins to seek your presence in our lives!

Amen.
