Midweek Prayer 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Lord God our Father,

we gather together in prayer this chosen day,

thanking you; for all that you have done in our lives.

Bob Marley once sang

‘so much trouble in the world’

Yet today your word invites us to

‘seek first the Lord’s kingdom

and his righteousness,

and all things will be given to us.’

Loving Father ,

give us a heart and Spirit

that endeavours to prosper in your word rather than to chase after worldly glory that remains on earth

and always comes to an end.

Reassure that commitment in us,

to remain faithful to your commandments for your covenant to prevail in our lives.

Lord,

May we pray for our love to be sincere,

and the guts to hate what is evil and cling to what is good.

Following the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Amen.
